ACHIEVEMENT 2: Basic Security on Steemit By @regin

Hello, fellow Steemians it's @regin here and
I'm excited to continue my Achiement 2 verification process as a newcomer.
Which is focused on basic account security.

I understand that security is very important on steemit because Steemit doesn't have FORGOT PASSWORD feature. Therefore, if Passwords are lost, they are lost forever. This is why every newcomer must understand how these keys work to keep their hard-earned rewards safe.

Question 1: Have you retrieved all your keys on Steemit?
Yes, I have retrieved all my keys. I have downloaded the PDF file containing all my keys and passwords provided by Steemit during the account creation process. I have also made sure to keep this file in a very safe place.

Question 2: Do you know each of these key's functions and restrictions?
Yes, I have learned about the different keys and their specific jobs. Each key has a different level of power:

1. Posting Key: This key is used to log in to Steemit.com and perform social actions such as posting, commenting, and voting.

2. Active Key: This is used for monetary and Wallet related actions, like transferring Steem, powering up and down

3. Memo Key: This is used to encrypt or decrypt private transfer memos

4. Owner Key: This key is used to reset all other keys. It is recommended to be kept offline at all times. It can also be used to recover or reset the other keys, including itself

Question 3: How do you plan to keep your master password safe?

Knowing that if I lose my password I can never get it, I have saved my Master Password on different devices and offline where I can get it anytime and anywhere and I have also written it on my dairy if in case I lose on the devices.

Question 4: Do you know how to transfer your STEEM token to another Steem user account?
Yes, I know the process.

1. I need to go to my wallet.

2. Click on the drop-down menu next to my Steem balance and select "Transfer."

3. Then, enter the receiver's username and the amount.

4. Finally, I use my Active Key to confirm the transaction.

Question 5: Do you know how to power up your STEEM?
Yes, I do. Powering up is essential for growing my influence on the platform.

1. In my wallet, I click on the Steem balance and select "Power Up."

2. I enter the amount I want to convert into Steem Power.

3. I confirm the action with my Active Key. Powering up helps my account grow and increases my voting value.
