An 88-year-old woman holds a doctorate at a university in Kyoto, Japan. Kiyoko Ozeki, the middle-aged woman's name, became the oldest person in Japan to have a doctorate.

Ozeki, who is a visiting researcher at the University of Ritsumeiken, was awarded a doctorate on his thesis about the origin and characteristics of clothing culture in ancient Japan.
