This is a very sensitive issue everyone agrees land reform is necessary but no one wants to do it. Julius Malema and the EFF are where they are today because of the land issue. They brought about the notion of land reform without compensation that has been the coner stone of their campain.

Thats why people come to their rallies. I think Ramaphosa is trying to take away ammunition from EFF because if no one else talks about it the EFF's popularity will increase. If land is redistributed the EFF can't say vote for us if you want land.

Land reform is inevitable and with Ramaphosa at the helm I think his hand is more steady than Malema. And the effects or damages to the economy will be minimal. But rest assured the land issue is a win for Malema because if not for him it wouldn't be happening.
