UK: Russia to Blame For Recent Gas AttacksteemCreated with Sketch.

in #news8 years ago

Defence Secretary Sir Michael Fallon has recently joined together with the rest of those who are pointing the finger of blame at Russia and Assad for the chemical weapons attack that was alleged to have occurred in Syria just last week.

This weekend, Sir Michael directly called out the Kremlin for being responsible for those gas attacks by being the principal backer of the Assad regime. Sir Michael said that the gas attack was “barbaric, immoral, and illegal” and no doubt that it was.

But some might also have the same criticisms to offer when it comes to the UK's foreign policy over the last few decades.

Sir Michael said that he thought the retaliation that came with the 50+ strikes this week to the Syrian air base was the right call to make. And that's no surprise considering that First World leaders in the US and the UK have been pushing for regime change in Syria for quite some time now, well before Trump ever took office or even started running for President.

Let's Not Forget

It wasn't that long ago that Wikileaks released evidence which supported the notion that Western media had been colluding with the Obama administration to push for a regime change in Syria. They had been cooperating to support the same narrative again and again, every attack was always blamed on Assad; despite conflicting reports from independent journalists and investigators etc, suggesting otherwise on multiple occasions.

It's no secret that US lawmakers wanted ISIS to rise in the region and some reports even suggest that Western powers created, as well as continue to arm and fund these terror groups.

In a previously released recording by Wikileaks, in a meeting with Secretary of State John Kerry and members of the Syrian opposition, Kerry admitted that the primary goal of the previous administration had been to achieve regime change in Syria.

Western powers seem to already have their minds made up long ago that Assad can no longer be the leader of Syria and the military conflict will not stop there until he is gone.

The US government is even alleged to have intentionally attacked a Syrian government military convoy that was planning a strategic attack on IS.

Sir Michael has said that the UK cannot rule out the option of initiating more airstrikes in Syria--no surprise there. He called the recent retaliation attack from the Trump administration, a 'deterrent' that is supposed to have intimidated Assad enough to not use chemical weapons against his people.

Sort:

Ignoring most of your post, it very much looks like an attempt to justify war similar to those we have seen in recent decades. It's fucked up that they seem to be trying to justify war against Russia.

I have been reading about this and have held off writing anything about it - I have written many posts on Syria.
Even the BBC site contains articles of such magnificent kaka as to be childish.
What blew up - and there have been no denials, was a weapons store, belonging to ISIS. The fact that the attack took place last Tuesday and we are still not REALLY clear - a worry in itself.
Syria and the Russians are calling it a Syrian attack upon terrorist weapons. They both now say that there must have been chemical weapons in the arsenal.
MSF says the deaths caused by any chemical weapons are Ricin related and have oenemic symptoms observed in the casualties.
What the West wants is for everyone in Syria to be dead. The continued vilification of Assad is a complete joke. US troops have already invaded Syria. WHY?!!

I fear the whole world is about to come crashing down. The actions of a few are going to ruin life for the many; most of whom, I imagine, have no idea what, why, or how.

you gas little children, i feed you a tomahawk. clear message sent

Where is a proof that Assad ordered that attack?

Another one who has worked hard against Bashar al-Assad is ex-French Minister of Foreign Affairs Laurent Fabius.

He has also been sued by 14 Syrian civilians for saying that Al-Nusra was doing a good job and thus encouraging the Syrian branch of Al-Qaeda to commit crimes on a mass scale.

Sir Michael Fallon can talk the talk, but can't walk the walk, when it comes to Russia supposedly being behind that horrific gas attack on Syrian civilians; know why?

It's very simple answer: He has NO GODDAMN PROOF!!

I hope his and the US's allegations don't take prominence on the conscience of America and the world, because if it does, we may very well see WW3!!

I, the world, and Steemians, don't want that to ever happen. EVER.
