The Liberal government unreasonably invoked the Emergencies Act to clear the convoy protests that gridlocked the capital city and border points nearly four years ago, the Federal Court of Appeal ruled.
The court dismissed the government's appeal of a 2024 ruling which deemed former prime minister Justin Trudeau's decision to use the legislation unlawful and infringed on protesters' Charter rights.
"As disturbing and disruptive the blockades and the convoy protests in Ottawa could be, they fell well short of a threat to national security," wrote the three judges.
My daughter was born 17 Feb 2022, during that period of martial law in Canada, at the height of mask, vaccine, and digital passport hysteria. The courts have spoken: it shouldn't have been that way. But those of us directly impacted by this doesn't get a re-do. We don't get an apology. We don't even get acknowledged.
At least it's official... Trudeau was wrong to invoke the Act, using violence and financial terrorism to quell criticism of his draconian and divisive pandemic policies. Freedom Convoy (a movement I was a part of) is once again vindicated.
Trudeau, Carney, and Freeland are applying to the Supreme Court of Canada to have the verdict changed.
• The standard of living of the average Canadian declined over the 2020-to-2024 period as Gross
Domestic Product (GDP) per person decreased by 2.0% (0.4% annually), the worst five-year
decline since the Great Depression.
• This decline in the Canadian living standard took place despite aggregate GDP growth of 1.5%
over the period.
• Canada’s disappointing per-person GDP growth from 2020 to 2024 is weaker than forecast
by the OECD in 2021, which projected that Canada’s growth of GDP per person from 2020 to
2060 would be the lowest among all 38 OECD member countries.
• The main reason for this poor performance was that Canada’s capital-to-labour ratio declined
sharply over this period. In other words, the average worker in Canada had less machinery and
equipment to work with, which, in turn, lowered productivity—the ability to transform raw
materials, ideas, and other inputs into goods and services.
• This decline was caused by two related factors: weak growth in business investment and the
rapid increase in employment driven by historically unprecedented levels of inward migration.
• Business investment was markedly weak because of [1] an increased regulatory burden, which
raised the cost of investment; [2] misguided immigration policy that led to high levels of both
permanent and temporary immigrants, which lowered the cost of labour; [3] higher taxes; and
[4] deficit spending, which increased the likelihood of further tax rises.
• These factors were mainly responsible for Canada’s poor economic performance, and more
specifically for the worryingly low levels of productivity and of growth in per-person GDP.
• The outlook for growth in living standards in Canada over the medium term is bleak and dramatic changes in policies, particularly in Ottawa, are required to reverse the country’s markedly poor economic performance.
In other words:
The standard of living of Canadians has fallen since 2020, with GDP per person down 0.4% annually, caused by the rapid increase in immigration employment, and by weak business investment (because high levels of immigrants lowered the cost of labour).

Trudeau advocated "deep friendships with other countries" to help middle powers like Canada weather global challenges; pandemics, wars, and the rise of populism. He offered the diplomatic, financial, and military support for Ukraine as an example of a soft power within Canada's grasp during the transition to a new world order.

Canada's population (citizens, landed immigrants and non-permanent residents) dropped for the first time ever in 2025, falling by 0.2% (more than 100k people).
The population actually increased by 77k people in the first half of the year, but then plunged by 180k in the second half. A reduction in the number of non-permanent residents (work permits, study permits, asylum claimants, and family members) was the leading factor. The number has fallen from a peak over 3 million in 2024, to 2.6 million in 2026.
Summary
Trudeau and the other Liberal Party WEF puppets (like Crystia Freeland and Mark Carney) changed Canada's immigration policies, bringing in millions of unskilled workers and their family members in need of housing and healthcare. This has destabilized many aspects of the country, and there is now clear proof that these new policies are directly responsible for the first ever drop in Canadian quality of life.
And they were wrong to use martial law against peaceful Canadians during Freedom Convoy in 2022. The protests should legally have been allowed to continue, and Trudeau should have been forced to deal with the situation and answer to the will of the people.
Instead, they're up in front of the WEF, announcing a New World Order in which middle powers like Canada must tow the globalist line in order to combat populism (the will of the people).

We've been right that he's working for the globalists, right that his mass immigration policy would harm Canada, right that cannabis legalization would be a lie, right that there would be no mass graves (or even a single bone) found in the residential school hoax, and so on. Right all along, silenced by the mainstream media and big tech all along.
Now, at least we get to say "I was right", not that anyone will hear it.
But I was definitely right about these scumbags. Now, if only I knew what to do about it, because they're still fully in control and calling all the shots, and the direction they're taking us is not a good one.
