Respectfully, we have been writing and publishing our stories long before ChatGPT or any large language models existed. In fact, we were active here well before Hive was launched, and even before HiveWatchers was subversively established (after the fallout from Steem and Justin Sun) to artificially enforce a sense of decorum on this platform and/or blockchain.
After many years on Hive, we have faced attempts by different larger Hive users to pressure us, including receiving threats of downvotes, into their Discord servers for various projects, concerns, and “opportunities.” However, we have abstained in order to protect our integrity as a reliable news source for Latinos across the globe. We stand by our writing and our legacy.
By officially joining your Discord server and submitting an appeal within it, we would be submitting ourselves to a false authority that has no jurisdiction in any planet, country, or blockchain. The request to hereby permit us to request an appeal among your group is not exactly a judicial act of impartiality in a trustless blockchain such as this.
As such, we must refuse on two main points:
- We do not submit ourselves to false authorities that have no jurisdiction over our writing, especially on decentralized blockchains.
- We find your accusation unwarranted, as it is yet another example of previous attempts to pressure us into joining Hive’s various Discord servers.
We respectfully refuse to join the subversive ecosystem of ethics enforcement on Hive merely to appease a group of anonymous users.
