Where is Mark Zuckerberg?

The company, Cambridge Analytica, has been implicated in dirty tricks in elections around the globe. Cambridge Analytica has turned into a notorious online presence lately, this week it made news for its asserted collection of Facebook profiles, supposedly utilizing it wrongfully to give the now US President Donald Trump an edge amid the 2016 elections.

Facebook is facing the heat after Cambridge Analytica, a British consulting company, is accused of harvesting data of up to 50 million Facebook users without permission and using the data to help politicians, including US President Donald Trump and the Brexit campaign.

With Facebook getting buried in its greatest ever discussion following an enormous information rupture, everybody is making one inquiry: Where is its CEO Mark Zuckerberg? Not just Zuckerberg has stayed quiet up until this point, Facebook is yet to talk on the information scandal.

British lawmakers have demanded that social media giant Facebook should clarify data breach following revelations that personal data was massively misused for political purposes. British lawmakers have also summoned Zuckerberg to give oral evidence after "misleading to the Committee" occurred at a previous hearing.

Facebook gets into more trouble as data security issues mount on its share prices, Facebook's stock price fell more than 6 percent since Friday's close.

Even as Cambridge Analytica and its alleged illegal use of private data and profiles put Facebook in trouble this last week, the social media giant is falling deeper into the vortex created over security fears. The social media giant is being hounded on two continents by governments suddenly focused on data security and investors unlike its stock to the point that it lost $60 billion in value. Facebook has struggled to respond to the fast-moving imbroglio. Even Facebook workers have been in the dark.

So, to protect yourself #DeleteFacebook and #JoinSteemit.

This is one of the reason i am really always careful of the kind of information i post on facebook. I try to limit it to minimal as possible, whereas, many people are ignorance of this because they are not infolovers. They just put all thier lifetime on facebook.

Before i finally leave Facebook for Steemit, i will try as much to bring my friends over to Steemit to share the joy of value content creation. Thanks to a friend @marpemusic for helping me to discover Steemit.

Yes, We need to be very careful using them....

Mark wants to joy Steemit best Platform in the world. :D

One day he will for sure!

This is the end of Facebook(centralized media) and the beginning of decentralized media like steemit. What facebook did with people's private information is so wrong. Facebook's stocks are already spiralling to the grave. I know steemit will rise like the phoenix, hold on guys!

Is this real?

Hehehe

Kind of true. Data was harvested by a Facebook app that went viral called 'thisismydigitallife,' which was built by Aleksandr Kogan, a Cambridge academic. Users gave their consent (with or without knowing) to release their personal information along with information on their friend's accounts as well.

Cambridge Analytica paid Kogan for that data, which they then morphed into data-backed psychological profiles of potential voters.

This is Kogan getting interviewed by Anderson Cooper. Kind of funny to watch haha

That is very true....Our private data in no longer safe with this company.

Thanks so much @hms818 for this great news and instruction.

Ever since i joined facebook there is nothing tangible i have ever gained from it but When i landed on steemit. The later has impacted my entire life that is socially, financially..so am deleting facebook and joining steemit though am already on steemit therefore am here forever. Am going to spread this to the rest of the people in my circles.

Thanks for sharing.

Great initiative my dear friend @yohan2on .

facebook is designed to spy on the world. Unfortunatelly, our information isn't secure in the cyber world, it isn't perfect. I hope steemit will respect its clients or face judgement when it comes around because it always does.

Very true!
