WARNING: Be Aware Of Phishing Mails - This Time: EtherDelta
I just received another phishing mail, it was not the first, it will not be the last.
This time it was not that obvious, the mail I got was from alert@ether-delta.com.
It says that some Russian IP attempted to log into my Ether Delta account.
When I click the given link to enable 2FA on my Ether Delta account I get directed to a page that looks pretty much the same as Ether Delta, but if you look at the URL you can see that it is not the original: https://etherdelta.com instead the link will bring me to the phishing site: https://ether-delta.com.
The only difference is the dash between ether and delta, but it is a pretty important difference.
It then wants me to input my Wallet address and also my private key, if I would insert both, some hacker would have access to my wallet.
This is how Ether Delta looks also it gives you a warning on the bottom right:
In the past I have received multiple mails like that, most of them do a really good work in making their page look like the original, however every time you are asked for your private key you can should get suspicions.
Golden rule: NEVER ENTER YOUR PRIVATE KEY ANYWHERE!!
If you have to enter your private key, triple check that the domain is really the original one.
