Prime Minister inaugurates trade fair
Monthly Trade Fair (DITF) has started from Monday in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar city. In the morning, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the 23rd edition of the fair of trade fair at the west side of Bangabandhu International Conference Center.
The Ministry of Commerce and Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) jointly organizes this fair. 43 organizations from 17 countries including Thailand, Iran, Turkey, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Nepal, China, Malaysia, Vietnam, USA, UK, India, Pakistan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Mauritius and South Korea are participating in the fair this year. Now the fair complexion has been arranged with 589 different categories of pavilions and stalls. There are 30 stalls allocated for women entrepreneurs.
The organizers said that the main gate of the 23rd trade fair organized by the theme 'We Can also' has been built in the form of the first span set up in the Padma bridge. The fair is made in the form of an eco-park on the two sides of the fair. There are two children's parks, blood collection centers, mother and child centers and an initial medical center in the fair. There are orchid gardens.
This year the size of Bangabandhu Pavilion has been doubled compared to last year. The pavilion was given aesthetic by recognizing the 7 March 1971 speech of Father of the Nation, UNESCO as the documentary proof of World Heritage.
A total of 100 CCTVs have been set up in the fair premises. The CCTV will be monitored from the control room of Dhaka Metropolitan Police. There are archways and metal detectors in the entrance. Apart from police, RAB, Ansar and BGB, Rover Scouts are being volunteers.
The fair will be open from 10am to 10pm till 31st January. The price of entry ticket is Rs 30 for adult and 20 rupees for unmarried adults
