Honestly, these pictures brought back some memories. About 10 years ago, there were two months that my neighborhood was surrounded by uncontrollable fires. It was 2pm and the sky was bright red because of all the smoke and fire. It was raining so much ash that it looked like grey snow on the ground. Not a good time.

I hope everyone was okay during those fires. Like you said, it is during those troubling times that bring people together for a greater good.
