On September 26th, "Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty" will transport you back to Night City.
Major Hollywood figures will be at Summer Game Fest to participate in games. Keanu Reeves popped up at the Xbox Games Showcase to introduce the Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty teaser after Nicolas Cage spoke at the opening keynote about his part in Dead by Daylight.
In the expansion, Reeves returns to the character of Johnny Silverhand with Idris Elba, another well-known actor. In Phantom Liberty, Elba plays a secret agent and Johnny and V go on "a dangerous spy mission," according to Reeves. You'll be transported by the expansion to Dogtown, a brand-new section of Night City, where you'll have to save the president of the New United States of America. Expect a significant growth. Twists, secrets, and a ton of activities," Reeves continued.
A new character's voice is heard in the trailer, claiming that they can save the main character's life and that they are aware of the ticking timebomb in V's head (no spoilers for those who haven't played the main game). It appears that the removal of the president is the price of salvation.
The sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, Phantom Liberty, is shaping up to be an exciting tale. Let's hope the expansion's release goes much more smoothly than the first game's launch did. When Phantom Liberty is released on September 26th, we'll learn more. However, it's important to note that neither the PS4 nor the Xbox One will support the DLC.
