Rakernas Ikawapi National Working Meeting
Banda Aceh - Vice Governor of Aceh, Ir. Nova Iriansyah MT., Opened the National Working Meeting of Indonesian Women's Development Association (Ikawapi) in Anjong Mon Mata, Banda Aceh, Thursday (3/5/2018). In the Rakernas, Chairman Ikawapi also inaugurated the board of 25 DPD Ikawapi throughout Indonesia.
Vice Governor Nova in his speech asked Ikawapi to synergize with the government in every action. All organizational activities are also required to be implemented in concrete plans.
"In development in Aceh, the government needs Ikawapi," said Vice Governor Nova.
In addition, Nova said, women can also empower people's economy. For example in micro small business. This can be done to open employment, which can reduce poverty rate.
"Develop measurable concept and planning and consolidate the cadres well," said Vice Governor Nova.
Vice Governor Nova also asked Ikawapi to be active in all social activities. Thus, all activities run concretely, not conceptually.
Meanwhile, Ikawapi's Chairman, Marniati, said that Rakernas Ikawapi is the first rakernas since the women's organization was formed in 2016. In the last two years, the organization has established DPD in 25 provinces, all over Indonesia.
"In the future we will move to establish stewardship in several other countries," said Marniati.
Currently, said Marniati, Ikawapi has explored cooperation with women's organizations from Saudi Arabia and Dubai United Arab Emirates.
"They have invited us to a conference on how women can solve women's problems there," Marniati said.
Marniati added, Ikawapi also continues to seek financial moves from various private partners. Thus, the organization can be independent, not just move with the financial capital of the organization alone. [Humas of Aceh / *]
