Amman Mineral akan Kembangkan Blok Tambang Baru

PT Amman Mineral Nusa Tenggara (AMNT) notes the development of smeltersudah processing and refining facilities reaching 10.1 percent. It is expected that this development can work well and will have a positive effect on production in the future.

President Director of Amman Mineral Rachmat Makkasau explained that the initial process of smelter development has been done. After being verified by surveyors appointed by the government the progress of smelter up to February amounted to 10.1 percent.

"For the development progress of smelters until the last verification result yesterday was 10.1 percent," said Rachmat, at the Parliamentary Complex Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, May 24, 2018, adding that the company is currently focusing on preparing land in Sumbawa. After that in the next month will do ground end engineering design.

Meanwhile, Head of Corporate Communications Division of Amman Anita Afianty added, the preparation of land in Sumbawa is done to accelerate development in eastern Indonesia. According to him, there is already an infrastructure readiness that will make the process faster. Land preparation is targeted to be completed by the end of 2018.

"Why Sumbawa? We want to accelerate development in eastern Indonesia, supported by existing infrastructure, so the process is faster," explained Anita.

Related to anticipating the tsunami, Anita said, Amman will conduct a cutting cut with an estimated 1 million cubic meters. "We have to cut a rather high hill, we need time according to the requirements of the builder elevation, the elevation itself, from the tsunami 100 years back, the area here is the potential of the tsunami so we should anticipate this," concluded Anita.

As is known, this smelter will be built in the village of Mantun Bente, Kecamatan Maluk. Smelter has a capacity of 2-2.6 million tons per year. When running smoothly smelter is expected to operate in 2022.
