The key features of the Bank Recapitalization (Bail-In) Regime implemented through Bill C-15 include:
the Government will have a statutory power to direct the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC) to convert specified eligible shares and liabilities of "domestic systemically important banks" into common shares in the event such bank becomes non-viable;
the types of instruments subject to the conversion power will be set out in regulations to the Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation Act which have not yet been prescribed (but the expectation is that these instruments will include senior unsecured debt that is tradable and transferable with an original term to maturity of over 400 days, consistent with the Government’s proposal in a consultation paper released in 2014);
the conversion power will not apply to liabilities outstanding on the date the regulation comes into force – it will only apply to liabilities issued after that time;
the conversion power will not apply to insured or uninsured deposits of the bank;
subject to any regulations or by-laws, the CDIC shall set the terms and conditions of a conversion, including its timing; and
each domestic systemically important bank will be required to maintain a minimum capacity to absorb losses consisting of regulatory capital and debt which is subject to the conversion power.

Awesome video Orion, Not many people are aware of what a Cusip Number is, or what their Birth Certificate is for either. fyi, my fathers birth certificate has the Bank of Canada written on it as well. This all has to do with Maritime Law.
Neither my birth certificate nor those of my children have the Bank of Canada written or posted on it even though all three of us were born right here in Vancouver, Canada. Maybe you're special?
I was curious about Cusip Numbers so I looked it up and found a number of articles denouncing this as "Freeman mythology" and a "tin-foil conspiracy theory" dreamed up by idiots.
DID you not watch the video at all what so ever? It tells you that only the older birth certificates show the BANK OF CANADA written on the Birth Certificate. I even mentions that it was my Fathers Birth Certificate from 1936 that has that written on it. The Video explains that. My birth certificate does not show it either but it has the CUSIP Number on it. I agree with ORION, you should GOOGLE why ALL CAPS are used on TITLES, and if you come back with that silly answer you gave ORION, people will google it..

In other words, if the CUSIP number on some birth certificates were indeed tied to some trust, it would be linked to a Bond Security Number on the stock exchange...but it's not. In addition, the so-called "Bank of Canada" note is the name of the company that printed these birth certificates way back when. Just a heads up: I won't be commenting on this post any more so you'll have to find someone else to play with since I don't have the patience needed to deal with conspiracy theorists.

Caps in digital communication are used to indicate shouting. It's common knowledge that one does not use CAPS in email, blog posts, social media or other online forums for anything other than to indicate shouting. Should I post a few links to validate my claim? In printed documents including identification, passports, etc, caps are used for legibility. My god, you are simple.
