Turkey: NATO-airbase (housing 50-90 Nuclear warheads) blocked, Erdogan seems to start turning away from NATO towards Russia

A lot of speculation was and is going on regarding the coup in Turkey 2 weeks ago.
From a George Soros financed coup to destabilze the region, to Erdogan staging the coup himself to claim more power, or Turkey "secretly" turning towards Russia/China and away from NATO behind the scenes.

Other rumors have it, Erdogan just got away minutes before members of the military were able to capture/kill him after he received an urgent warning by Russian intelligence about the upcoming coup. Be that as it may, the area becomes even more unstable after recent events heat up again.

Is Erdogan now playing with fire by trying to blackmail the US turning over Gulen?
