Coinomi Wallet Announces Support for ZClassic and Bitcoin Private

in #news7 years ago (edited)

The most major mainstream multi-coin wallet - Coinomi, has announced that it will be supporting ZClassic (ZCL) and it's upcoming hard fork Bitcoin Private (BTCP) into which ZCL will co-fork with Bitcoin, being the first time in history holders of a crypto-currency other than Bitcoin will be able to receive a new coin created by a Bitcoin hard fork.

The Bitcoin Private project has made the announcement by sharing this picture on their official Twitter account

This is pretty important news for a new altcoin which has already stabilized in the Top 100 by market cap, and will surely add to its popularity among investors and traders.

Coinomi's support will also make it much easier for ZCL holders to claim their BTCP after the fork, as they won't have to manually enter their private keys into a BTCP wallet, but will probably be able to claim their forked coins directly from Coinomi's very user-friendly Android app, by merely selecting Bitcoin Private among numerous coins Coinomi currently supports.

It still isn't precisely known when Coinomi wallet will start supporting ZCL and BTCP but the Bitcoin Private Head of Operations has in a Twitter reply stated that the multi-coin wallet has informed them that they will be offering their services to ZCL and BTCP holders in the next 2-3 weeks:

It will surely be interesting to see how this announcement will impact ZClassic's price, which has proven to be surprisingly stable during the current Bitcoin dip, or crash, as some like to call it. While most coins have sunk dramatically ZCL remains somewhere stable compared to the levels it was sitting on since the Bitcoin Private Austin, TX conference.

Thats a good one , the coinomy has really been a good saver else you would have needed to get more apps for each coin you invest in . Has anyone tried their exchange service within the wallet? I need some confidence...

I haven't personally tested the Coinomi in-wallet exchange, but if you need a BTC wallet with an in-coin exchange option BTC (www.btc.com / wallet.btc.com) is the way to go. Though it only allows you to buy Bitcoin, not sell it.
