An estimated 13,000 people gathered at a cricket stadium for hearing his speech.

President Cyril Ramaphosa, however, also poked fun at Obama, saying he unable to dance as well as Mandela could dance.

Ramaphosa told that in Obama, "We have found a kindred spirit. We have found a brother."

Obama started his speech in South Africa bytelling that "each day's news cycle is bringing more head-spinning and disturbing headlines".
