Development Authority's Administrative Control Kpk Updates

Chief Minister Mehmood Khan has unanimously agreed with the Goliath Development Authority's administrative control department, Local Government, on the proposal to supply tourism to the department.

• The Chief Minister expressed these views during a high level meeting of the Chief Minister's Secretariat in Peshawar on Monday. The meeting was attended by Senior Minister Mohammad Atif Khan, Municipality Shahram Khan Turkey, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Muhammad Israr Khan, Secretary Local Government, Secretary Sports and Secretary Law and others.

• The meeting discussed the various issues, responsibilities and performance of the Goliath Development Authority. The meeting agreed with the Goliath Development Authority's redistribution of duties and responsibilities and other related issues.

• The meeting also agreed to develop the places adjacent to the Khanpur Dam for tourist recreation and such places as other top tourist destinations and develop these places in the style of a tourist and entertainment destination for the local level tourists. Growth in revenue and economic development will be of paramount importance. Local people will also benefit from the development of these areas and they will also get employment.

• The meeting also agreed to speed up work on the Woman Park Mardan and modernize it. It was decided at the meeting that the district administration should reallocate 40 canals of land allotted to Mardan so that different government offices could be shifted there and there would be no disruption to service delivery and other government affairs in Mardan.

• The meeting agreed to set boundaries of the Goliath Development Authority and improve certain social services and facilities. The special duties will be with the Department of Tourism so that the tourism department can identify various tourist destinations and bring necessary amendments to the rules. It was also decided in the meeting that the municipal services would remain with the local municipal authorities. The proposed amendments to the tourism rules will also determine new jobs and responsibilities.

The meeting was also informed about the investment in the three five-star hotels in collaboration with Switzerland and the commencement of necessary work on it. He directed the concerned authorities to work together with the Goliath Development Authority to control the tourism and culture of the Goliath Development Authority and eliminate the legal complications as soon as possible.

The Chief Minister agreed with all the proceedings, however, he said that in this regard, according to the law, the matter should be brought to a final completion. Earlier, Chief Minister Mehmood Khan met with the Iranian delegation under the Chief Minister's Secretariat under the leadership of Iranian Consul General Mohammad Bin Baigi. Advisor to the Chief Minister Ajmal Khan Wazir, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Muhammad Israr Khan, Commissioner Peshawar Shahab Ali Shah and other relevant officials were also present on the occasion.

• The Chief Minister said that there is a lot of potentials in the tourism sector in the province. According to the Prime Minister's vision, the provincial government is focusing on tourism. The visa process of both countries will be changed to promote tourism and this process will be made easier for the people. He assured that the delegation of travel agency would visit Iran and facilitate work for tourism promotion.
