On October 20, 2020, lives where lost at the Lekki Toll Gate in Nigeria. Unarmed civilians who where protesting against police brutality and bad governance where murdered in cold blood.

I won't want to share videos or pictures of what happened but you get the full gist here on Wikipedia to read what happened and why it happened.

Personally, I believe state policing will reduce if not eliminate Police brutality in Nigeria. The war against tribalism seems like it can't be won in the country. Most of the officers aside a few that ain't trained are noy from the area they're posted.

I belief they are so violent to civilians because of the difference in tribe.
