"Ottawa Mechanics" is a thriller set in a small town where the friendly and trusted local mechanic, Jack, has been getting away with murder for 20 years.

The story begins with the disappearance of a young woman, who was last seen at Jack's garage. Her friends and family are devastated and the police are baffled, with no leads in the case.

As the investigation continues, more and more people in the town start to suspect Jack, who has always been known for his friendly and helpful demeanor. But when the police search his garage, they find nothing out of the ordinary, leaving everyone to believe that the woman has simply run away.

Years go by and the case goes cold, but the protagonist, a local reporter, becomes obsessed with finding the truth about Jack and the missing woman. He begins to dig deeper and discovers a string of unsolved murders and disappearances in the town, all linked to Jack's garage.

As the reporter gets closer to the truth, Jack becomes increasingly desperate and dangerous, using his knowledge of cars and mechanics to try and cover his tracks. In a thrilling and intense finale, the protagonist and the police race against time to stop Jack before he can strike again.

But in the end, they discover the shocking truth that Jack had an accomplice, his own brother who helped him in all these murders and they both were caught. The story ends with the town coming to terms with the fact that their friendly neighborhood mechanic was a cold-blooded killer, hiding in plain sight for 20 years.
