Another good retro photo, this time from the Swallows Club. It looks like there was a "costume" party. As the caption states, it can be hard to choose a costume when one is a nudist. This woman accessorized with Hawaiian leis and a wide brim hat.

Unfortunately, many nudist costume parties end up being nothing but lingerie shows. I attended one such party after my 5k race a few years back. There was way too much emphasis on being "sexy" in my opinion. The "costume" in this picture is tasteful and beautiful and doesn't make the woman look like she's there for sex.

Yeah yeah, I'm a fuddy duddy. I just prefer restrained sexual ethics. I know way too many people who have thrown their bodies around and ended up hurt. Plus, I firmly believe that the only way nudism will survive is to cling to family friendly values. We are not swingers.

It's hard enough to encourage people to strip off and be vulnerable without adding a sexual component. Add objectification to mix and no one will want to do it.
