RE: Probiotics Vs. Prebiotics: What's the Difference and Which One Should You Consume to Maintain Health?

in #nutrition6 years ago

Great post, with a great structure! We really have to understand that the gut bacteria influence us more than we think - both positively and negatively. Recent studies such as this have shown that there might be a strong connection between our gut bacteria and the development of neurodegenrative diseases. It is definitely worth considering that.

Thanks for your kind words. I help care for an elderly relative. Sadly, the older you get, the harder it is to stave off inflammation. I keep bringing her prebiotic food, hoping it will help. I'm not elderly, but I'm not young when compared to most people here. So I think it's one of the best things to do to help stay healthy.

Great to see that you are taking care of an relative. This is often not taken for granted although it is an important service.
