Steemit Open Mic Week 81 - Emma and Emma Too (Original Song)

For Open Mic Week #81 - I have here a humourous song written in collaboration with a good friend, the great Mr Frank Edwards, permaculturalist, gardener, sailor and poet who hails from Durban, South Africa.

Frank wrote this as a poem originally, based on an autobiographical true story... It involves the accidental killing of his own chicken (who his grandson Max had already named Emma), squashed under a railway sleeper in a tropical storm while Frank was building his Earthship, and then the subsequent covert cover up mission to acquire a similar brown chicken, now named "Emma Too" (so young Max could remain none the wiser)... I set Franks great little poem to a country tune as part of my project for the permaculture design course we were on at the time.

Here I am performing it especially for Steemit Open Mic Week #81 - hope you enjoy!
