All of us will agree that we LOVE food and since it is the age of smartphone device for sure one way or another you have a photo of food in there.

Because I think that I am now able to support a small contest, I think this is a good way to start the year promoting what your local cuisine/dish to others and also a way to promote your place if ever.

First things first I will give the guidelines for this contest.

*Resteem the post, in that way more people will be reached and might be joining.

*You can upvote this post too but it is not required :) I am also accepting donations if ever you want to so that we can have this contest running again in the future.

*Kindly use #ourcuisine for me to track it. Since there is no one using it yet as I have searched :)

*I am good with any photo of the food that you are going to share as long as it is yours. May it be a local, regional or national food that you are going to share that is absolutely fine with me. Exotic foods will be so awesome too because I do have very limited knowledge about them.

*Somehow tell a story on why it is your local dish, or why you have chosen that particular food. I'd love to read those and also be enticed on what I will be reading.

*The winner will be determined by the following criteria.

50% - On how you tell a story of that food
50% - for the Quality of the image used. ( More mouth watering image the better)

• Contest will run for 7 days and I will only be accepting the entries until 10th of January at exactly 12 AM Manila Time. All entries created after will not be included but if the results will be okay and we have a lot of participants we will continue the contest and include your entry on the next week after :)

*Results will be announced at the 10th of January at 12:00 PM Manila time.

*The contest is open for all, not only in the Philippines but across the whole steemit platform as long as it is written in English.

English is not my first language but I will try my best to share our local cuisine here.

In our province here in Laguna, Philippines this is one of the main cuisine that we are proud of. It is called Buko Pie. This pie is made of coconut meat and some dough which I do not know what.

I think one of the reasons why we have this cuisine is because we have a lot of coconut trees available in the area and knowing how Filipino's love to innovate stuff and not wasting any food they decided to create this.

If you will be visiting Los Banos, Laguna there's a lot of stalls selling this pie and even if you are riding a bus going to Metro Manila there are some provincial buses selling this for a low price.

What I do like about this is it is a good food especially if you are hungry, it can fill you up immediately. It is heavy in the stomach. But as we all know all things that is over is somehow not good. If you are going to overeat this food make sure that you are at home because you will be visiting the rest room for sure.
