๐ All the big community parties in Panama have Bull riding, usually by very drunk Cowboys drinking Rum right out the bottle. Liquid courage or painkiller I guess. LOL
Most of these guys are professional cowboys and handle these animals daily, but it doesn't mean things don't go a little sideways from time to time. I've seen some pretty outrageous things happen during these events.
Could be he got headbutt before the door opened but I never heard.
Its a little hard to see in this video but you see all the people coming to action. He must have sustained some injuries as shortly after a hat was passed around the ring to help with expenses.
I might see if I can get a Dtube loaded next.

I'm amazed at how many people are willing to lock themselves into a ring with an animal that can destroy their lives in an instant. Makes for some entertainment for the viewers and the riders get an adrenaline rush, but such a risky way to get it.
I could tell you stories that would make your head spin. A few years back they started to use safety gear and amazing enough that's when people started getting hurt? Someone injected the idea of danger, and right on time it appeared. The pens are becoming more secure and the entry gates for the bulls stronger. Less people drunk and brave jumping in to run through the pen when the rider falls off etc....
These parties also used to be free, now it's pay to watch. Money seems to ruin everything in time.

I remember watching bull and horse rodeo up here back in the early 80's as a kid and the riders always amazed me. A couple got hurt here and there, but nothing to serious. Just the risk they take each ride is crazy. Haven't been in decades now...but bet my oldest would love it. Might have to take her next summer.
a couple years back in our town they used to bring in pros that rode the biggest bulls no hands! kid you not. and 90+ % of the time went the 8 seconds. they tie there boots together under the bull in a special way that they can release when ready.
That was quite the show.

I'm far too old and wise than to try to ride a 1000 pound animal for fun. Just the other day my neighbor was knocked out by a simple head but from a cow by accident. She wasn't mad and frightened like these bulls.

Hi Sweetness, hope you're enjoying the season. I didn't drink yesterday and now have a kick-ass head cold.
It's been very nice being at the family home for Christmas. Lots of life here & children of all ages running around. Johana's Mom went to our house for New Years so just us kids at her place for New Years.
I'll do some blogs when my head is not ready to explode. LOL
