Very interesting perspective. Ultimately, people demonize some figures and idolize others because they need something to fight for, something that will give their lives meaning; and by having a fight, you have goals, and by having goals, you have meaning.

We are always striving for freedom, and at the same time avoiding it at all costs with our actions. The truth is that true freedom is unbearable.
