Happy belated birthday. I turned thirty on 1st January 2000. It was one hell of a party! I also had the palm of my hand cut open (years afterwards). It is a horrible moment when you see the fat beneath! I had 19 stitches. Glad you turned a potential disaster into a positive.

19!!!! YIKES. did it recover okay? My stitches are out but still don't have full use of my hand. the fat was really scary. I had no idea what it was!
Luckily I didn't do any nerve damage so my hand is fine. It is a very thin scar barely noticable, now. My local doctor (who took the stitches out) thought it was rather a lot of stitches, and was taking the piss, a bit out of the person who had done it... but the hand gets uses so much in needs to be held tight.The body has a miraculous way of healing itself, so believe you will recover, and do the exercises and your body will do the rest!
