@thewisesloth. This was an interesting read. I agree, this all falls into the whole framework of hypnosis. But now I am an atheist, and I must concur that religion has a grip on you for all these reasons and more. There is also that community that it provides. When one leaves, (as I did) all that is taken away. It can feel lonely.
