Impressions of Bokor Hill in Cambodia (4 photos) 📷

in #photo7 years ago (edited)

Sok Sabai dear Steemit Community, at the moment I am missing the time to continue my series "19 Years Southeast Asia". Today I present you four new photos taken on and around "Bokor Hill".

The Bokor Hill is a plateau belonging to the Elephant Mountains, 122 km away from my hometown of Sihanoukville.

The French colonial rulers already liked this place so much that they built a casino and a Catholic church up there between 1921 and 1924. In 2002 the location served as a backdrop for the movie "City of Ghosts" and in 2004 for "R-Point".

And also this waterfall, under which you can refresh yourself after a tour through the jungle, is nearby.

Those who are on holiday in Cambodia should not only visit the famous temples of Angkor, but also the Bokor Hill in the province of "Kampot".
