Feeding A Wild Goat in Samaria Gorge, Crete Island, Greece.
Dear Steemians!
Here is my photo about #pc-nature that i took in #SamariaGorge where in Crete Island, Greece.
I was an Erasmus student in Heraklion.
And If you deserve to come to Crete Island, be ready to be nested in nature. And put your trekking shoe in your bag first :)
And let's come to our first collective event.
- The Gorge of Samaria
You can find extensive information about the gorge from the links below.

ESN (Erasmus Social Network) organised its first major event as the Samaria Gorge walk.
The gateway to Samaria is the second most visited tourist attraction in Crete (after the Palace of Minos in Knossos) and is today the most popular walking route. Every year from May to October, more than a quarter of a million people are entering in the process. During the winter season, the passage is closed to visitors due to the danger caused by water and falling stones.
Rare flora and fauna in this region are alive and protected. The mountains are high and vertical. One passes through old cypresses and pine forests and descends with vertical rocks. The road is 16 km long, 1230 meters high from Xyloskalo (near Omalos) in the White Mountains and ends in the village of Agia Roumeli in Libyan sea. Passing through the gate usually takes 3-5 hours (except for movers).
Samaria is said to be the longest passage in Europe. But the truth: "gorges du Verdon" in southern France is a little more than 20 km.
After sharing short information about the gorge, if you like nature walks you will start to wonder about other routes, mountains from that moment on your first trip.
I share photos of gorge from different perspectives.
