Every year, the National Geographic holds a photographer of the year contest in different categories.
I'm a huge fan of photography so I love to look at the submissions (and winners.)
It fascinates me how different life around the world is, and how that can be captured with a simple camera!
So now I want to share some of my favorites from the winners of the NATURE category with you:

Although these are a few years old, I think they're still relevant and incredibly beautiful.
I love the bear on the waterfall!
I really liked that one too! Imagine how long the photographer had to wait to get that PERFECT shot!
Ahh the bird... yes all incredible shots, but that is what makes National Geographic the institution is has been since it's inception... the focus on great photography.
true! I love their photography books. I can't imagine all the time and efforts the photographers put to capture shots like this!
