Sunset over Swansea Bay
Watching the sun set over the sea is one of my favorite and most treasured things about the location I live in. I go almost every night to the beach, no matter if it’s too cloudy or gloomy to catch any colors of the sunset, because I crave the stillness and peacefulness being near the sea offers. I find this especially heightened as day turns into dusk, and dusk turns into night, and every one else is already tucked inside for the night. This is when I feel most alive, especially on those mundane days.
This photo was taken on the northern edge of Swansea Bay, simply from the motorway. If you look closely in the background of the photo you can see the curve of the other side of the peninsula jutting out into the sea. That’s the seaside town of Mumbles.
