RE: 01 FREE Photo Review / Critique RESPONSE - Photographers Improve your Photos!

in #photography7 years ago

the point that I have to pick best edit is on the spot. i don't do much paid work (maybe one in few months) but when i deliver photos only "duplicates" are if i have black and white and color. problem is that a photo is never over but you have to let it go :)
i like everything you said, but the thing i did not noticed are the spots on the ground, and as you mention it they started screaming LOOK AT MEE, LOOK AT ME :) the cloud color is also something that i will sure pay attention in the future.
It is nice to see a constructive critique because people rarely do something like that. when someone says that he likes the photo it is a nice ego boost but it teaches as nothing. thanks, and you can expect me again :D

Here is a challenge for you:

  1. Pick an unedited photo of yours that you really like
  2. Set a timer for 1 hour
  3. Spend that hour analysing your photo for flaws and improvement opportunities, correcting all of them

If you run out of ideas on what to improve before the alarm rings, you know need to do some more studying and research on this subject... :)

It sounds really tough (1 hour is a lot), but its amazing what sometimes happens when you stare at a photo for a much longer time. You constantly notice new things. It's a very good exercise...
