The Flood of 2018 in Southern Indiana is Receding
Flood of 2018
After what seemed like an eternity, the flooding is subsiding. A few roads are still underwater, but that won't be the case here in a couple days.
Anderson River is still out of it's banks in the lowest areas along it's channel.

After a few intense days in major flood stage, the river is now down to it's minor flood stage. This is good news for local residents!
Here are a few more photos I managed to take when the water was higher
The old covered bridge can be seen on the right side of the photograph here.
The river (creek) was still well out of it's banks when I took this photo
That's it for the flood of 2018!
I need to apologize for the lack of posting and quality this week. My mind has been elsewhere for the last couple of days. I'll be back to posting better things in no time, I promise! Until next time, take care :)

Cool shots! Man the flooding around here has been crazy!
I just found out that a local man has been missing since Wednesday in the floodwaters. He went out on his kayak in the backwaters to explore. They found his kayak and his truck, but not him. There's no current in the backwaters, and they haven't been able to find him yet. It isn't looking good.
Oh gosh that's horrible. I hadn't heard. =[
Completely understand about the Posting @bristowboy. And glad the floods are receding 🙏
