Oh, I love this post. That was so interesting! And lovely pics. I didn't know you "had" to go into the army in Nigeria. It's very encouraging that you enjoyed that year and did something so constructive.....and I'd have been interested to see that interaction between the different tribespeople. I wonder about those rivalries (if there are any) and relationships and of course I wonder about their different initiation practices....Resteeming now!

Actually there are rivalries, and that's one of the reasons why the government has mandated this practice, so we the educated youth can go deep into different regions in order to counsel the youths and people in there.
