Great review. I was curious how a professional like you would rate it.
There are also situations where it's inappropriate to use a flatbed scanner, like in the case of this painting my grandfather painted:
I wasn't about to take it off the wall and take it out of the frame just to scan it. My grandmother would have lost her mind. :)
Thank you, and yes! That's very true about pieces that can't be manually handled. I can see how that would be a great way to make sure they live on in other forms as best they can without having to face the possibility of being damaged.
