Berlin from above! Or if life gives you lemons, make lemonade.

Yesterday we had as a plan, my son and I, to go to the Legoland that is in Postdamerplatz.

When we got to the place the queue there was incredibly long. We did not calculate that we are on vacation time for children and that many children want to go to Legoland too ;)

Imagine my son's face when he realized that it would be impossible to enter.

At that time it was my turn to step into the role of "superhero" and try to save the day.

Walking back to the metro station, passing by the side of the brick building I remembered that on the top floor there was a panoramic viewpoint. I asked my son if he wanted to see Berlin from above and as soon as I saw his eyes shining I knew that the day was saved.

We went up in the elevator that by the way was super fast, 8 meters per second was the speed of climb as said the elevator operator. When we left the elevator the view left us completely mute ... well, I think you better watch it for yourselves.

Part of the Tiergarten park and the dome of the Sony Center.

My son tried to do a visual experiment with me and the Deutsche Bahn logo.

The truth is that we had a great time.

And this was not the only thing we did that day finally but that is the subject for another post. Best of all, the day was saved even though we could not get into Legoland. As I say, if life gives you lemons, make lemonade.

Oh my God What a lovely city with lovely structures and building...would love My country to be developed this way....Thanks for sharing this photos..

Berlin is so beautiful and clean. The well planned architecture and people also care about it, this all is very obvious in your pictures. All the pics are really beautiful, thanx for sharing them.

looks a day full of fun with your son....so many gorgeous shots!

Thanks a lot! luckily for my kid is not problem if Papa need to take some pictures when we are travelling around ;)

In Berlin there are more than 2,500 parks, but The New York Times daily calls the Prinzessinnengarten (Park of the Daughters) in Kreuzberg as one of the 10 best tourist destinations in Berlin. In the middle of town, grew 500 vegetables, planted hundreds of volunteer workers, who turned abandoned areas into useful gardens. It's a community project, turning into a tourist attraction.

WOW, I LOVE the city of Berlin. Mostly I spend my time in the parks and with friends living in Berlin and less in the tourist area, Mitte and the various squares, but them I've seen many times already. Super you having a blast in Berlin!

Oh! Do you come here often? I live here ;) You should let me know the next time you are in town because I live very near to Mitte :) In Prenzlauer Berg. Glad you like th ephotos @edje!

Super! I usually come to Berlin a couple of times a year. Sometime in November I'll be back in your home town! For a visit to some friends, Berghain and enjoying some good food and maybe even shopping. I'll let you know when dates getting clear. Would be nice to meet! I usually stay with friends in Kreuzberg.

Berghain hahaha I need to give it some time to me favorite place in Berlin.... Just let me know when you have all secure. Looking forward to that!!!

Will do! :)

great plan, perfectly implemented too!

Yes! at the end was perfect :)

thanks for the photos! Is your wife a redhead? i couldn't find the connection betweeen you and your son ;)

hahaha nop! The red hair and blue eyes come from my family. My brother is @juliosalas is blond with green eyes, my cousens have many of them also blue eyes, my grandpa was german, red hair blue eyes guy :D so.... no Mama gens but Papa ;)

Wow, crazy gens in your family! It's amazing how many different combinations you can have in one family.

Mine is pretty crazy yes! hahahahaha but in general Cubans do not have a predominant race. We are a mixture of several races. You have to see how beautiful the chinese mulatto women are!(mix between people form china and africa, I made a docu film about this in Cuba) Or mulatto women with green eyes!!! OMG!!! (I honestly do not have idea where this mix come from!!! :P ) But, of course, we have our "caribean eden pearl" :D , the "trigueñas", as we call them, or creole women, a mixture between the white race and the black race. What, for example, my mother is.

wow sry i missed your reply, I don't know how that happened, sry! Now i saw it.
I was visiting Cuba last December and it was one of the nicest trips i did! I really loved the people there, but we also saw some not so good things and we also heard a lot of bad stuff, i hope you and your family are doing fine!

Great shots!
