Why I Started Taking Photos – And What They Mean to Me 📸
There's something special about freezing a moment in time.
I didn't start taking photos professionally. I started because I wanted to remember. A sunset in Accra, a busy market street, the way light falls through my window at 5 PM – these are small things, but they matter to me.
The photo I'm sharing today is one of my favorites.
I took this at Aburi Botanical Gardens. What drew me in was the green environment and the quiet feeling in that moment. No rush. No noise. Just me and what I saw.
For me, photography is:
- A way to slow down
- A reason to pay attention
- A creative escape from screens and numbers (even though I love crypto too)
I'm still learning composition, editing, and all of that. But I've realized you don't need a fancy camera to start. Your eyes and your curiosity matter more.
Now I'd love to hear from you:
👉 Do you take photos?
👉 What's your favorite thing to capture – people, nature, streets, food?
Let me know in the comments. I'd genuinely love to see this community through your lens.
Warmly,
Justice | Accra, Ghana 🇬🇭
