Shaniwar wada is known to be the one of the most historical places in pune .
Built in 1732 it was a seat of peshwas of the maratha empire until 1818 , when the peshwas lost its control to East India Company.
The fort itself has been largely destroyed by an unexplained fire but it is still known to be a highly rated tourist attraction place .
