Nine o'clock flowers are often called Portulaka (portulaca spp) so called because these flowers bloom at 9 to 10 am. Having different types of colors is white, red, pink, purple, orange and mixed colors. This flower is very suitable as an ornamental plant at home or planted around a house pond. This flower is divided into two, namely pointed leaf portulaca grandiflora and slightly round leafed portulaca oleracea on the end.
Portulaka or Nine Hour flowers are plants from South America (Argentina, Brazil and Urugay) which are then spread to various places in the world including Indonesia.
This flower, which is often referred to as the Sweet Beautiful and Bombay Silk, is the annual thermal plant that has wet trunks. Plant stems between 15-30 cm long and often branch from the base. The stem is able to grow upright or as a creeper on the ground surface. The color of the purslane stem is red or green with thin hairs on the stem border.n
