Even if the unbelievable amounts of water do not plunge into the depths, waterfalls somehow still have a calming effect. They are just a beautiful natural spectacle that you like to watch - and at the sight of it you just relax. So how about a trip to the most beautiful and spectacular waterfalls in the world? I'll give you a little taste of what awaits you around the world!
Victoria Falls between Zambia and Zimbabwe
The Victoria Falls are also located on a country border - exactly between Zambia and Zimbabwe. The waterfalls are UNESCO World Heritage Sites and many adventure activities are offered all around. It flows up to 3000 tons of water per second with thunderous noise as much as 100 meters in depth. Crazy: Did you know that you can even swim in the Victoria Falls? The Devils Pool is probably the most dangerous pool in the world. See for yourself.
Rhine Falls in Switzerland
The Rhine Falls in Switzerland is the largest waterfall in Europe. Its water drops 23 meters in depth. In the evening, the waterfall is illuminated with bright colors and it results in a cool natural & technical spectacle.
Niagara Falls in the USA / Canada
The Niagara Falls on the US-Canada border are probably the most famous and impressive waterfalls in the world. On the American side the waterfalls are called "American Falls" and have a drop height of about 21 to 34 meters. On the Canadian side are the "Horseshoe Falls", whose water drops about 52 meters in depth.
Dettifoss Wasserfall in Island
The glacier water from Dettifoss crashes over a width of 100 meters over 44 meters deep into a gorge. So much water flows through the Dettifoss that it is the most powerful waterfall in Europe.
Iguazu Falls in Argentina / Brazil
The Iguazu Falls are also located on a national border, namely at the border between Brazil and Argentina. Over a distance of 2.7 kilometers, a total of 275 individual waterfalls, which together form the Iguazu Falls. In part, the incredible amounts of water fall down to 80 meters.
