Orchid (National Flower of Venezuela)
The orchid was decreed as national flower of Venezuela on May 23, 1951. Between March and May it is the season in which this one plants exhibits his beautiful flower. It belongs to the family Orchidaceae, there are some 30mil species from very small. It is a herbaceous everlasting plant, there are the terrestrial ones and epifitas (that live on trees) and in humid climates. This plant lives also in Asia, Colombia, Ecuador, Central America, India, China, Madagascar, Ecuador, New Guinea, Brazil, Mexico, Indonesia. The image of this plant was taken in the court of my house.
