Newcastle Ferry - Low Light shot on Compact Camera
I took this photo on my compact camera, the Sony DSC RX100 M3, and despite the super difficult situation including low light and fast movements (the ferry just took off and accelerated rapidly), the 1-inch sensor on this little beast picked up the details in a proper fashion, almost reaching the performance of high class DSLR cameras.
The location is Newcastle, Australia, which I visited during my half year of backpacking Down Under. The ferry connects Stockton to Newcastle City as there's no bridge in walking distance (and even for driving it's about a half hour drive). The ferry takes about 5 minutes.
