Hey Nixare,
There are certain places in Ladahk that you need to get authorization to access and photograph but you can fly straight into Ladahk no problem.
It's quite a popular place for mountaineers in Summer but in Winter I think they welcome anyone who is willing to spend money.
Well worth a visit.
