PLEA for Venezuela, as there is no fate
...But what you make for Ourselves
This post is a plea for help and support, and invitation to #travel with us to the reality of the former richest South American country.
Since April independent organized Venezuelan groups abroad have sent from their own money tons of medicines, food and medical supplies.
But Patriot Venezuelans abroad are not rich, the rich ones are the corrupt government families.
That's the same government that denies the humanitarian crisis and forbids international organizations to send help, it is all left to the good will of the few of us who are abroad.
What little we have, we had shared, for those who are still trapped there.
Whatever revenue this post gets will be used to pay for medical supplies and shipment
Since April 2017 voluntary groups in France and Spain (mostly students) have managed to send around 400 kg of basic medical supplies, however, this is nothing for a country with more than 30 million inhabitants.
You have heard about Venezuela recently in the news, for a little while there was even talk about a US military intervention, but it all seems to have cooled down, now...
Are you sure?
Why were Venezuelans fighting ?
A 4:09 minute video is worth about 6225 images (@ 25 fps)
The sad truth is that youngsters (15 to 30 year olds) fought because they preferred to die in the hands of the repression than face a slow death of attrition.
In Venezuela you might die of common crime any day, any where, most of the time the police at the end of the shift, keeps the gun and hangs the uniform, replacing it with a mask...
The people took to protest on the streets for lack of:
- Medicine
- Food shortages
- Insecurity
And the answer was brutal police repression
...And some times from paramilitary government supporter groups
So brave Venezuelans armed themselves with gas masks, wooden shields
...and lots of hope
Every time we saw them proudly holding what has became the symbol of the resistance
...silent tears ran down our face
Effectively creating a spear head to protect pacific protesters who despite the brutal repression
kept ground backing in numbers those unknown modern hero
They fought with all they force and gave it all
...More than 100 lives were lost during 3 months protests.
More than 100 political prisoners, ranging 17 to 70 years old
Were judged by military tribunals
So now what? all is solved, no?
Nothing farther from the truth
The government illegitimately dissolved the republic, and trough a series of decrees is slowly dismantling what little shards of democracy is left.
For the first time we see Venezuelan people eating from the garbage
And malnourished children dying everyday
Children are abandoned on the streets by the poorest
And have to survive with whatever they can scavenge
And the health crisis is not far beyond
The pediatric wards
When doctors tried to protest
They met repression too
But the shields are not the only heros in this tale
Young medicine students, took the streets to help the wounded by the repression
They were too in the front line
yet their battle was a different one
Some like Paul Moreno
Gave their lives
But the call of duty was stronger than their fears
And they kept on giving it all
350rockVe Escudos
Nu metal song about those brave heros who gave it all to be betrayed and abandoned now.
This post is for FREEDOM
for DEMOCRACY
for HOPE
in HUMANITY
After 3 months on the streets, the Opposition was crushed in a political move that forced them to call people off the streets.
For fear of a civil war and a escalation of violence
The dictator won again
The internacional community choose money over human lives
The RED Tide now celebrates
we guess they choose this color to hide the blood stains from real patriots who gave it all in an asymmetrical battle for HUMAN RIGHTS
and FREEDOM
So this is what #life is like in today's Venezuela
Whatever revenue this post gets will be used to buy medical supplies
and pay for its shipment
We are not scammers trying to make a quick coin here, we are actually trying to have more venezuelans join and help curate and generate content to help this effort.

That money allowed for 5kg of basic medical supplies to reach a church in western Venezuela were they are given for free to people in need.
