SPRING BUDS OPENING TO A WONDERFUL WEEKEND!
Spring outdoor activities are all demanding my attention at once. I have overlooked seeding some vegetables, but have to keep changing priorities. One good thing is physically I am getting in good shape. I am working on potting some flowers for my wife for Mother's Day (This Sunday). Some I will seed in larger pots. I also took some time in my shop to build wooden platforms on casters for easier moving around. My wife, daughter, and granddaughter will be going to breakfast and a movie on Sunday, so plans are to have it all finished before they get home. The trick is to hide blooming flowers until then.
The above flower is a bloom opening on our weeping cherry tree. The wind has made it difficult to get a good photo but with numerous photos I was able to get a couple of pictures. This tree is an older tree and it almost died a few years ago. With a lot of attention and care this years the blooms are fantastic and the tree is so much healthier.
My daughter captured a photograph of this Pale Swallowtail butterfly last Summer:
This next flower is a very small wildflower I found in the woods behind my house. I took this photograph in Early April. I have no idea of the name of the flower:
It is difficult to get a nice photograph of Sheba, but I got a lucky shot and we can even see her eyes. Her paw is completely healed up, so she is able to get out of the fenced yard and get some good runs in:
I always know when Spring is in full force because my iris and dandelions start to bloom. This iris is shorter than my other variety, and is called locally Siberian Iris. It is always the first to bloom. The dandelions are frequently overlooked, but I just love their bright cheerfulness in the Spring. The first few that come up in the Spring attract honey bees and other bee pollinators. Some of the leaves end up in my salads.
This brings us to the end of another weekend post. As always I trust each viewer will find something they enjoy. Have a wonderful weekend. It is suppose to be around 80 degrees F (26.6667 C). These next two days will be the warmest days of the year. Also we normally have low humidity and that is the case for the weekend. Thank you for visiting.
I would remind everyone that the issues in Venezuela are far from over. Here are a couple of links for programs in Venezuela that can still use our aid. I plan on adding them as partial beneficiaries to this post:
I continue to add each of these projects as beneficiaries to sharing in a portion of the earnings from my post.

They are providing good documentation of what they are doing through video, photographs, and narrative). Please take the time and check them out.
There are two other programs located in Bangladesh that I have tried to support as well, and both can always use assistance. Each has an important role to play in their community.

Check all their blogs for more information on the excellent work they have been doing.
I am using a Canon EOS Rebel T5 for all of these photographs, except where noted. When I use my daughter's photos she is using the T6.
