You Have GOAT To Be Kidding Me!!

No Photoshop here.

FACT - In 1973 a family started a fruit stand on the side of the road. 2 years later they built a market with a sod roof.

FACT - Sod roofs provide insulation for warmth in the winter, and promotes evaporation for a cooling effect in the summer.

UNKNOWN - Why they decided to put goats on the roof.
I think, after many beers and the family bickering as to WHO would mow the lawn on the roof, perhaps a stranger said "for a case of beer, I'll solve your problem" Who knows, but I had fun coming up with that story.

Photo credit to my mom. She went on a seniors trip to Vancouver Island and this is a famous tourist stop in Coombs, BC, Canada. The business is actually called GOATS ON THE ROOF.

The portable goat-mower makes the most sense. I think you're onto something there. Though a close second would be repetitive, dull-sound subliminal advertising leading to increased purchase within the store. There are studies concerning the clumpff clumpff of hooves on heavy sod, and the increased interest in produce purchase. Somehow triggers long-dead relationships between wandering a field looking for plants to eat, and cows following behind, because that is just what they do. Can't remember where I read about it though. Think it might have been in a magazine while waiting in line at the grocer's.

Nice! I wonder if you can hear them stepping around up there, or if the sod muffles then. That goat on the right looks like he might get zapped, with the power lines so close!

Ha, I didn't notice that the power lines looked so close. I can imagine the lights going dim inside and the owners would simply roll their eyes and say, "well, I guess dinner is cooked" lol

hahahahah 10/10for that title/pic @steem-samiam thanks for the laug! I literaly laughed my ass off :)

Thanks! I too laughed when my mom showed me that picture!

I can imagine :) Btw, that's one of themost effective PR techniques they could have used. I mean who wouldn't stop to see what's going on there.

It's an interesting thing about these goats, what are they doing up there. Al all in all, a real attraction, hehe

Hahaha loved the title of this post, had to click on it! You've got an awesome blog, look forward to seeing more!

Thanks for having a look!
