rice grows in the lowlands, which averages less than 100 meters above sea level some of which plant rice. Evidence of the existence of the first rice paddies was found dated 6280 years ago based on carbon dating of rice seed and soil organic matter found in Chaodun site in Kushan County At a Neolithic site in Caoxieshan, archaeologists dig up and find a site believed to be a rice field. It is estimated that the site in Caoxieshan dates from 4000 to 3000 BC. In addition there are 10 archaeological locations associated with rice fields in Korea. Two of the oldest are in Okhyun and Yaumdong, Ulsan, built from the general pottery period
