Visit the city of Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan (Manas statue, Plaza Alatu, Osh Bazar)

in #photography4 years ago

When I arrived in Bishkek, I stayed at the hostel (A) close to the bus terminal (B).

The name is Apple Hostel.

As you can see on the map, the bus stop is right next to it.

The accommodation was neat, breakfast included, warm water was good,

The cost-performance ratio was also good.

Best of all, there is a big supermarket just a short walk from the hostel.

You can buy ingredients here and cook them.

Korean ramen (Shin Ramyun, Yeol Ramen) are also available!

As you can see from the photo, there are many services for travelers, including tours in Bishkek.

It's near the bus stop, so it's convenient to move around.

Buses to Karakol and Kampongata in Kyrgyzstan are all departing from this terminal.

The same goes for international buses to Almaty, Kazakhstan and Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Based on this place

If you use Yandex (a taxi application like Yandex, Uber) and 2GIS (an application that explains public transportation like Naver Map),

Efficiently walking around the city of Bishkek.

The first place to go is Osh Bazaar.

I took a bus in front of the hostel using the 2GIS app.

Eight to ten bats per ride.

Prices vary depending on the bus size.

Just think of a traditional market.

If you go, you will know, but there is nothing.

Display items are spread along the alley.

I went to the market and bought a small accessory bag.

Even my accessory bag was broken,

I bought it right away because I could bargain for a good price.

A travel bag that I still use.

The price was 350 som, at that time the exchange rate was around 7,000 won.

Looking at KY-Z, it looks like a Kyrgyzstan product from anyone?!

Here you can now use the 2GIS app,

Take the bus to Victory Square.

This place has a tower in honor of the victory in World War II,

In front, a flame is burning.

As you get closer, you can see a flame burning in front of the statue.

Also, there are statues around the tower, although no photos were taken.

If you walk down a little from this place, there are many shopping malls.

Let's do some shopping around here.

There is also KFC.

McDonald's and Burger King in Central Asia

It is not easy to see fast food chain restaurants.

It is also a good choice to eat a hamburger after a long time!

There is a university behind this mall

You can see the Pushkin statue there.

image.png

The image quality is not good...

It says'Alexander Sergevic Pushkin'.

(Александр Сергеевич Пушкин)

Now walk slowly for about 10 minutes and you will arrive at Alattu Square.

Google Maps says "A-two-square."

This place is a large square, but when I went, it was just after I finished the New Year's event and there was nothing to see.

Besides, the weather wasn't good either.

Across the street, across the street, a large Manas statue stands with the Kyrgyz flag.

image.png

Behind the statue is the Kyrgyz History Museum,

When I visited (January 2020), it was not opened for reasons of museum renewal.

So I was forced to shake it.

image.png

Russian? Or Kyrgyz? What is written in front of the statue.

It turns out that Manas is an epic hero spoken to the Kyrgyz people,

I could hardly find out what this epic was about.

So I gave up on finding out.

The great flag of Kyrgyzstan in red, which goes hand-in-hand with the greatness of the statue of Manas, is truly stunning.

Now the parliament building seen from the way back to the hostel.

It is the building on the left side of the statue of Manas.

And statues.

There were quite a few statues and statues in Bishkek on the street.

After looking around Bishkek city like this, I went back to the hostel by bus.

In Central Asia, the 2GIS app is a must.

It is an app that uses Naver Map together.

It's Russian-based, but even if you type it in English, your destination will be good and easy to operate.

Once you've decided on your destination, you'll see how many buses you need to get from your current location.

If you don't want to take public transportation and if you have enough money

Yandex is the best taxi app like Uber!

Those who read this article, when the corona is over

Using 2GIS app and Yandex,

I wish I could travel well to Bishkek and other Central Asian countries.
