The dangers of plastic waste to the environment

Greetings fellow steemians it's a pleasure to be with you all today again. I want to acknowledge the fact that the steem community is really a banquet of knowledge resources.

Today I will be presenting on the adverse effects of plastic waste to our environment and how we can help prevent the consequences. Plastic waste is simply the disposal and accumulation of any plastic material into the environment after usage. Thus the impact of disposal is either felt in the environment or on water bodies. In our society today we can testify that plastic litter is everywhere in almost all the edges of the world especially in countries like china. They consist of water bottles, paint bottles, sweet drinks and beer bottle s and many more plastic material bottles that are dispose all over the world. The most dangerous of this plastic materials are those from pesticide companies for example fungicides, herbicides, insecticides which constitute some of the most dangerous plastic waste littered arround.

How dangerous is plastic waste

Plastic waste in its self is dangerous as it's pauses lots of threat to the environment. Plastic waste pollutes and contaminates animals, plants and humans with toxic pollutants. Plastic waste can take thausand of years to break down and the environmental damage is long lasting. The pollution from this plastic waste affects all organisms involved in the food chain.

When this bottles are littered arround they are vulnerable to erosion which either carries in into water bodies where it leads to ingestion and suffocation by water animals. Many farmers in my community do not understand the need to properly dispose of their plastic waste in their farms after using them. Many consumers of plastic products hardly consider the impact of discarding them any where .

Therefore it is outrightly important to sensitize the public on the importance of properly disposing of this plastics or simply returning them the respective companies. If plastic companies can resolve to producing eco friendly or biodegradable plastic materials it will go along way to solve this problem. Consumers should divert their attention from plastic products, reduce, reuse, return and recycle plastics wherever it is immenent. Thanks for stoping by to read . See you in our next post.
